Govt pays Rs 406.44 crore as commitment charges to dev partners

New Delhi, Jul 27 (UNI) Minister of State (Independent Charge) G K Vasan today informed Rajya Sabha that an amount of Rs 406.44 crore has been paid as commitment charges to various development partners for the year 2003-04 to 2005-06.

However, it will not be correct to say that commitment charges are paid as fine, he added.

Replying to another question on restructuring of 20-point programme, the minister said that the government has constituted a Group of Ministers on restructuring of the 20-Point Programme.
