Globalisation opened up vast avenues for youth: Governor
Kozhikode, July 27 (UNI) Kerala Governor R L Bhatia today urged the youth and students to utilise the vast opportunities opened up for them in the advent of globalisation in the country.
Talking after commissioning a new building of the Farook Institute of Management Studies (FIMS) here, he said there were ample avenues created in the wake of economic liberalisation and as such the young generation should work hard to take full advantage of it.
''We are staying in a knowledge era'' where every one has an equal chance to come up in the society by utilizing the advanced technology, he said.
Calicut Universiry Vice-Chancellor Prof Syed Iqbal Hasnain in his presidental address said during his four-year tenure he had noticed that students in Kerala lacked communication skills making them incompetent in job market.
He said all-out efforts should be made to overcome this deficiency.
