GAIL for gas pipeline route bypassing B'desh

New Delhi, Jul 27: The Government today informed the members in Lok Sabha that Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) has prepared an alternative gas pipeline route from Myanmar to India through North-Eastern part of the country bypassing Bangladesh.

He said GAIL has got a Detailed Feasibility Report (DFR) prepared for this purpose. The execution of the project will depend upon the gas tie-up with the Myanmar side. The matter has been taken up with the Myanmar Government.
