Four injured in landslide at Mata Vaishno Devi route

Jammu, July 27 (UNI) Four devotees including a girl child were injured in a landslide at Sanjhi Chhat on the way route to Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir last night.

The police sources told UNI this was the second landslide incident during the last five days in which a girl child namely Julie was injured seriously while three others escaped with minor injuries and were discharged after firstaid. The child has been shifted to government medical college here for treatment.

Sources said the Yatra which was suspended due to fresh landslide till morning, resumed after removing debris.

The new route to Bhawan near Adh Kanwari has already been closed five days ago due to heavy landslide on it. The devotees are taking upper route to Bhawan from Adh Kanwari, the half way to Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, sources added.
