Dr Reddys Laboratories Q1 net zooms 303 pc to Rs 139.8 crore
Mumbai, July 27 (UNI) Dr Reddy's Laboratories has posted a net profit of Rs 139.8 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006, as compared with Rs 34.7 crore for the corresponding quarter the previous year, reflecting an increase of 303 per cent.
Announcing the results, the company said its revenue rose to Rs 1,400 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006, as against Rs 560 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, witnessing a growth of 151 per cent. The growth was driven by combination of growth in core businesses, contributions from acquisitions and authorised generics opportunity.
In the total revenue growth of the company, international markets contributed 83 per cent at Rs 1,170 crore, while the contribution from India increased to by 15 per cent Rs 240 crore.
