Delhi Police Assistant Sub-Inspector arrested on bribery charges

New Delhi, July 27 (UNI) A Delhi Police Assistant Sub-Inspector was today arrested by CBI while accepting a Rs 5,000 bribe for 'sparing' a complainant's passport from 'getting damaged'.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Satpal, posted at Delhi Cantt, was arrested from the canteen of the Patiala House Courts, according to the CBI.

The accused had threatened to damage the passport of the complainant's son, involved in a dowry case and whose passport had been seized.
