Constable's daughter abducted, people block road in protest
New Delhi, July 27 (UNI) A Class 10th student of Open School was allegedly abducted in Bawana area of North-West Delhi this evening, following which agitated people blocked road and stopped traffic.
Daughter of a police constable, the 15-year-old was pulled into a van at about 1730 hrs while she was on her way to fetch milk from a closeby 'goshala' in Bawana's Auchandi village, according to eyewitnesses.
The girl was walking a few steps ahead of her mother, who had recently undergone an operation, while going to the 'goshala'.
Villagers blocked road demanding arrest of the accused and stopped traffic for more than an hour.
Her father Hari Prakash, posted at Samaypur Badli police station, suspects that one Jitendra who ran a tuition bureau and computer training centre in Auchandi village was behind the abduction.
Suspecting his behaviour, Hari Prakash had withdrawn his daughter from the tuition bureau some time back.
Police accross the NCR have been alerted and efforts were on to nab the culprits, said the police.
Meanwhile, the father of the suspect has been detained for questioning, said sources.
