Commune Panchayat Chairman assumes office

Pondicherry, July 27(UNI) Mr T Anand of the Puducherry Munnetra Congress today assumed office as the chairman of Ariyankuppam commune panchayat here.

Mr P Govind (Independent) also took charge as the Vice-chairman.

PMC legislators K Lakshminarayanan, Anand and V K Ganapathy greeted them on the occasion.

Meanwhile,two former minister and Congress members M Kandasamy and A Namasivayam assumed office as the government whip and parliamentary secretary to the chief minister respectively.

Chief Minister N Rangasamy led them to their chairs.
