Co. denies delay in compensation package to family of Suryanarayan
Dubai, July 27 (UNI) A Bahraini company, which employed an Indian telecom engineer who was beheaded by the Taliban in Afghanistan in April, has denied delaying the compensation package to his family.
The company spokesperson said the company has secured the admission of engineer K Suryanarayana's three children in a Hyderabad boarding school and is setting up a trust fund for Rs 20 million to secure the family's future.
He said the Chairman of 'Alamoayed Group' is in touch with Suryanarayana's wife Manjula and paid for her medical bills, following her suicide bid upon hearing about the second wife of Suryanarayana.
He said the company is taking care of the family members of the slain engineer whose names appear on the contract documents, Bahrain Tribune reported.
The company spokesperson said the company is aware that DNA tests are going on to check the claim of 'second wife' Swapna that her daughter Nitisha is Suryanarayana's child and should get a share of the compensation given to his family.
''But we can only comment on the family included by the deceased Suryanarayana in his official contract with us,'' he said.
