Champions Sri Lanka book berth in semi-finals

Bangalore, July 27 (UNI) Defending Champion Sri Lanka stormed into the semi-finals with a resounding 68-25 win over Hong Kong in the Fifth Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship played in the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium here today.

This was the second successive win for the holders in the four-team Group-B.

Goal Attacker Gishanthi Jayakody was the leading scorer with 40 goals, while Goal Scorer and Vice Captain Iresha Koralagodage scored 28 goals for the winners.

For Hong Kong, Goal Attacker Bonnie Wong (13 goals) was the highest scorer. Natacha Casvelier scored 12 goals.
