Bomb hoax at IT hub in West Bengal

Barasat, July 27 (UNI) The Institute of Engineering and Management at Salt Lake, the IT hub in West Bengal, today received an anonymous call about a bomb being planted inside the institute, which eventually turned out to be a hoax.

All the people in the complex were immediately evacuated, sources added.

THe bomb squad and sniffer dogs were called but nothing was found, informed Sub-Divisional Police Officer Prasun Banerjee.

Mr Banerjee said police was trying to trace the caller.
