Bajaj Electric Q1 PBT improves by 43 pc

Mumbai, July 27: Bajaj Electric Ltd has posted a profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 6.53 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 4.58 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, an increase of 43 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total net income has increased from Rs 137.58 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 to Rs 189.75 crore for the quarter ended June 30,2006,which showing a grown by 38 per cent.

In view of the satisfactory performance, the company declared a higher dividend of 60 per cent for the year ended March 31, 2006 as against 30 per cent declared in the previous year.
