AIBEA calls all India Bank strike tomorrow
Kolkata, Jul 27 (UNI) Banking services throughout the country is likely to come to a halt tomorrow in response to a one-day strike.
The strike was called by the All India Bank Employees Association(AIBEA) and supported by the United Forum of Bank Unions(UFBU) and all the state-based unions to press for immediate withdrawal of RBI decision to outsource the clearing operations, filling of nearly 100,000 vacant posts through proper recruitment policy in public sector Banks and expeditious extension of one more pension option for retired Bank employees, among other issues.
As part of the day-long strike, third in this year, dharnas and sit-in demonstrations would be held in front of all Bank branches throughout the country, AIBEA sources here today said.
