7 policemen suspended

Lucknow, July 27 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government today suspended seven policemen in connection with an incident of a spat between the supporters of an MLA and the Ferozabad district magistrate and police chief.

The policemen were found guilty of not being able to handle the situation, a home department spokesperson told reporters here.

According to reports reaching here, supporters of Ram Veer Singh, MLA from Jasrana, had an altercation with senior officials.

It resulted into an unpleasant situation prompting the state authorities to take punitive action.
