YSR directs officials evolve audit mechanism

Hyderabad, July 26 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed the officials to evolve an audit mechanism in the Commercial Taxes Department to refund Input Tax.

Appreciating the performance of the department during a review meeting, Dr Reddy said the proposed audit services should be expeditiously taken up to refund the amount.

The officials informed the Chief Minister the department had exceeded the target of Rs 3,150 crore by collecting Rs 3,560 crore as taxes in the state, registering 105 per cent growth, an official release said here.
