Wipro seminars in 15 cities
Bangalore, July 26 (UNI) Wipro Infotech's Personal Computing division today announced the start of a 15-city summit seminar - 'Stretch' Summit - to address the growing technology needs of fast emerging and enterprise businesses.
'Stretch' server summits designed for CIOs and CTOs would help them understand how their businesses could optimise on server purchase decisions, deployment and management issues, a company release here said.
The 15 cities tour, which began yesterday, would cover major cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune in the first phase, the release said.
On the occasion of the launch, Wipro Vice-President (Personal Computing Division) Ashutosh Vaidya said ''With Intel announcing dual core technology in the market, Wipro will be one of the first server companies to offer this platform to Indian customers, thereby enhancing office productivity in across business segments significantly.'' According to IDC, server revenues in India surged over 28 per cent year on year in 2005. India was poised to become the second largest market for servers in 2006 in the Asia Pacific region, the release said.
