Vasundhara Raje appeals for next term to Cairn
New Delhi, July 26 (UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today appealed to the Centre to extend term of oil exploring giant Cairn Energy in order to put the state on the world platform.
Speaking at the occasion of signing ceremony, marking a 1 billion dollar facility to finance the development of the state oil and gas fields in India, Ms Raje said the Rajasthan government had received full co-operation from the Union government.
Central Petroleum Minister Murli Deora invited Cairn Energy to expand their commitment to India by participating in the fourth round of New Exploration Licensing Policy, which would close on September 15, 2006.
Meanwhile, Cairn Energy Chief Executive Sir Bill Gammell informed that 450 million dollars had been invested till date in the four Field Development Plans (FDPs) for the Mangala, Aishwariya, Saraswati and Raageshwari oil fields in Rajasthan.
