Two crushed to death in rail accident in Punjab
Amritsar, July 26 (UNI) Two railway employees were crushed to death under the wheels of the Amritsar-Ambala passenger train between Kartarpur and Hamira railway stations on the Amritsar-Jalandhar section this morning.
According to railway sources the victims were Yadavindra Singh, a Railway Police Protection Force (RPF) constable and Davinder Singh a AC-coach attendant of the Amritsar bound Moori Express. The two had got down from the Moori Express for inspecting the train after a passenger had pulled the chain to stop it.
Sources said that they were moving on the parallel track on which the Amritsar-Ambala train was running. Both failed to notice the coming train and were killed on the spot.
