Three Indian films to be screened at Toronto film festival

Mumbai, July 26 (UNI) The Toronto Film Festival beginning from September seven will see three Indian films being premiered during the period.

Mira Nair's 'The Namesake' for UTV, Yashraj films' 'Kabul Express' and Karan Johar's 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' will be featured at the upcoming film fest.

Nair's film is based on Jhumpa Lahiri's novel and UTV accquired the rights to make the film. Karan Johar is also exploring different genre of films as far the subject and treatment is concerned with his 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna'.

'Kabul Express' has John Abraham and Arshad Warsi as television journalists who go to Kabul for covering the Taliban.
