Singapore army delegates visit CIJWS
Aizawl, July 26 (UNI) Singapore Armed Forces delegation, headed by Yeo Eidik, arrived here today for a two-day visit to Counter-Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School.
The delegation aims to observe the training curriculum at the CIJWS after which Singapore will send their troops to get skills on counter-insurgency operations and non-conventional warfare.
Another high level team from the Australian Army , headed by Major General Richard Wilson, is also expected to visit the school on July 29.
CIJWS, a unique army school in the world, has trained more than three lakh defence personnel from countries including France, Russia, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Mongolia, Britain and the United States, since its inception in 1970.
Meanwhile, Brig R M Painuly took over as commandant of the school from Brig Rakesh Sharma.
