Sacked managers of TASMAC urges MK to ensure reinstatement
Chennai, Jul 26 (UNI) All the 33 dismissed managers of the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC) today appealed to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to reinstate them, either in TASMAC, or any other State Government undertaking.
Talking to newspersons here Mr Jayapal and Ms Pushpa Latha, who were among the dismissed managers, said all of them were post-graduates and they were recruited on Contract in 2004.
They alleged that they were surprised to receive their dismissal orders on June 23, despite the fact that their Contract was yet to expire.
They said when they joined TASMAC, the annual sales was only Rs 3880 crore and it was increased to Rs 7800 crore during their period of employment.
Considering our utility, we should be reappointed, they added.
