Romanian PM admitted to hospital after bike crash
BUCHAREST, July 25 (Reuters) Romania's Prime Minister Calin Tariceanu was admitted to hospital in Bucharest today after a motorbike accident north of the capital, officials said.
Tariceanu was treated for minor injuries only, after colliding with an oncoming car, they said.
''It was only a minor incident,'' government spokeswoman Oana Marinescu said outside the hospital where he was being treated.
''The prime minister had several scratches which were treated by medics. So far, they haven't discovered broken bones but medical checks continue,'' she said.
Tariceanu's government came to power in late 2004 after ousting an ex-communist cabinet on a anti-corruption ticket.
