Rainfall continues to lash MP

Bhopal, July 26 (UNI) Courtesy an upper air cycer over Uttar Pradesh, moderate to heavy rainfall continued to lash southern Madhya Pradesh, meteorological department said.

Rainfall occurred at several places in Sagar, Gwalior and Chambal divisions and some places in Rewa, Jabalpur and Ujjain divisions.

Karaira and Sheopurkala received seven cm rainfall each, while a rainfall of five cm was recorded at Varaseoni, four cm at Javad and three cm each at Naugaon and Datia.

The state capital received light rainfall and witnessed a cloudy sky. The city has received 283 mm rainfall so far, 179 mm less than average.

Downpours lashed Sagar recording 74 mm rainfall and leading to water-logging in low-lying areas.
