Priyadarshni award for Dr B K Goyal and Prof A Chaudhuri

Mumbai, July 26 (UNI) Renowned cardiologist and medical educationist Dr B K Goyal and management expert Prof Arindam Chaudhuri will be honoured with the Priyadarshni Academy award this year.

Dr B K Goyal, the honorary dean and chief cardiologist at Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences, will be honoured with the Academy's biennial 'global award for outstanding contribution to medicine', whereas the 'global award for outstanding contribution in the field of management' will be bestowed on Prof Chaudhuri, the dean of Centre for Economic Research and Advanced Studies, Indian Institute of Planning and Management, New Delhi.

The awards will be presented at the 22nd anniversary of global awards ceremony to be held here on September 19, Academy Chairman Nannik Rupnani said.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh will be the chief guest of the function. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath and Maharashtra State Finance and Planning Minister Jayant Patil will be the guests of honour at the event.
