Port and Dock Labour Board Workers stage protest

Visakhapatnam, July 26 (UNI) Workers of Visakhapatnam Port Trust and Dock Labour Board today took part in a demonstration in front of Port Administrative Building in protest against the Kolkata National Tribunal award on 'manning scales.' The programme was organised at all the major ports in response to call by the five federations of Port and Dock Workers.

In a separate memorandum submitted to Port Chairman K Ratna Kishore, the unions said the tribunal had given the award after five and half years without taking local conditions of each port into consideration.
