Oracle, leader quadrant in transportation systems

Bangalore, July 26: Oracle today announced that Oracle Transportation Management has been named the Leader Quadrant in Gartner's 2006 Transportation Management Systems (TMS) Magic Quadrant.

Oracle Transportation Management was a comprehensive planning and execution platform for shippers and third-party logistics providers that helped lower costs, enabled improved customer service and asset utilisation and provided flexible, global fulfillment options, Oracle said in a release here.

The Gartner TMS Magic Quadrant provided guidance for organisations that were seeking to purchase, replace or upgrade a transportation management solution. Gartner's Magic Quadrant positioned vendors in a particular market segment based on their completeness of vision and ability to execute on that vision.
