Oracle, leader quadrant in transportation management systems

Bangalore, July 26 (UNI) Oracle today announced that Oracle Transportation Management has been named the Leader Quadrant in Gartner's 2006 Transportation Management Systems (TMS) Magic Quadrant.

Oracle Transportation Management was a comprehensive planning and execution platform for shippers and third-party logistics providers that helped lower costs, enabled improved customer service and asset utilisation and provided flexible, global fulfillment options, Oracle said in a release here.

The Gartner TMS Magic Quadrant provided guidance for organisations that were seeking to purchase, replace or upgrade a transportation management solution. Gartner's Magic Quadrant positioned vendors in a particular market segment based on their completeness of vision and ability to execute on that vision.
