Monsoon revives in parts of AP

Hyderabad, July 26 (UNI) The southwest monsoon revived in Andhra Pradesh today with rain occuring at many places over Telangana and Rayalaseema regions which had deficit showers during June and July.

''Fairly widespread rains occurred in Telangana and Rayalseema regions. Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places over the state in the next 48 hours'', said Hyderabad Meteorological Centre Director M Satya Kumar.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in Hyberabad too.

The chief amount of rainfall recorded in cm are Bodhan (15) Vizianagaram (nine), Mudhol and Narayanakhed (eight each) and Banswada and Veeraghattam (seven each), Vempalli (six), Guntur, Hyderabad Airport, Kaleswaram Tekkali (five each), Hakimpet AP, Nandyal, Nizamabad, Armoor, Kamareddy, Nizamsagar, Parvathipuram and Perur (four each).
