Masked men loot bus passengers of Rs 74,000 on expressway
Anand, July 26 (UNI) A group of unidentified men looted ornaments and cash worth to Rs 75,000 from passengers of a private bus near Ramnagar village on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara expressway, early today.
The miscreants had strewn some nails on the road, resulting in a tyre puncture of the bus. As the bus stopped for repair, the group, comprising about 15 to 20 men, threatened the passengers with lathis and country-made weapons and asked them to part with their valuables. The passengers gave away their cash and ornaments without much protest.
A case has been registered at the Vasad police station.
The bus was on its way to Udaipur from Mumbai.
