KBK areas in Orissa to receive RS 1200 crore under RSVY

New Delhi, July 26 (UNI) The Centre today said it has no plans to extend the KBK special scheme in Orissa to the Eleventh five year plan.

The development efforts of states for backward regions are to be supplemented through the Backward Region Grant Fund which is under finalisation, Minister of State in the Ministry of Planning M V Rajasekharan said in the Lok Sabha.

He said the allocation for the special plan for the KBK districts under the Rashtriya Sam Vikas Yojana (RSVY) for the tenth plan is Rs 1200 crore. The RSVY is being subsumed in the Backward regions Grant fund which is in the final stages.
