India suffers yet another defeat

Bangalore, July 26 (UNI) Defending Champion Malaysia thrashed Maldives 69-16 (Pool 'A'), while Singapore thrashed India 65-23 (Pool 'B') in the Fifth Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship played in the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium here today.

Though the hosts put up a better show compared to the earlier two matches in the Championship, they could not scuttle the attempts of experienced Singaporean eves who went on scoring right from the beginning. This was the third defeat for the hosts.

In another match, strong contenders Malaysia did not find much resistance from Maldives.
