England release Dalrymple from test squad

MANCHESTER, England, July 26 (Reuters) England have released Jamie Dalrymple from their squad for the second test against Pakistan starting at Old Trafford tomorrow.

Dalrymple, an all-rounder who bowls off spin, has played six one-day internationals but is yet to win a test cap. The pitch is expected to favour pace bowling rather than spin.

The teams drew the first match of the four-test series at Lord's.
