Drizzle brings relief to Chennaittes

Chennai, July 26 (UNI) After facing an oppressive heat for the past few days, Chennaittes woke up to a drizzle and pleasant weather this morning.

The skies remained overcast throughout the day, giving the much needed relief to the people, who had faced sweltering heat, even after the ''Kathri'', when the summer reached its peak during May-June.

Stating that it was normal, the weather office here said the city and its suburbs, would remain cloudy with thundershowers in some places during the next 48 hours.

There would be rains in few places over North Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry, while, the South Tamil Nadu, would witness isolated rainfall, during the same period, the office added.
