Deutsche Bank ropes in Sunil Gavaskar as product ambassador

Mumbai, July 26 (UNI) Deutsche Bank has roped in the services of cricketing legend Sunil Gavaskar as the product ambassador for its credit cards in India.

Gavaskar was presented the bank's first platinum credit card by its CEO (Asia-Pacific) Colin Brassie, at a function here today.

The bank's suite of products consisting of classic, gold, platinum and corporate credit cards packed with a host of innovative features.

At the launch, Mr Grassie said, ''An important element of our growth strategy in Asia is our strategic focus on the further development of our successful businesses in India, both in wholesale and retail banking.'' Today's credit card launch in India is a first for Deutsche Bank in Asia and an important milestone for its business, he added.

The bank may also consider the launch of premium credit cards in China through its partnership with Hua Xia Bank, Mr Grassie said.

Bank's MD and CEO-India Gunit Chadha said, ''the launch of credit cards will play a significant role in our strategic focus of being a leading provider of end-to-end financial services for the retail customer in India.'' UNI SN GK AW1800
