Deccan Chronicle Q1 PAT zooms
Hyderabad, July 26 (UNI) Deccan Chronicle Holdings Limited (DCHL), publishers of 'Deccan Chronicle', a leading English daily, has reported a robust performance for Q1 posting profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 23.25 crore, up 62 per cent.
Net sales for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 surged 72.27 per cent to Rs 109.63 crore compared to Rs 63.64 crore in the same period last year.
The profit after tax (PAT) soared by 62.47 per cent from Rs 14.31 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, a company release said.
PBT (Profit Before Tax) was Rs 30.43 crore, up 68.96 per cent.
Following the solid performance, the EPS for the quarter rose by 62.54 per cent to Rs 5.64 from Rs 3.47 in the same quarter last year, it added.
