Dabur Pharma profit up 10% to 6.6 cr, sale up 10.8% at 81.08 cr
New Delhi, Jul 26 (UNI) Dabur Pharma Ltd today reported a 10.4 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 6.63 crore for the first quarter ended June, 30, 2006 as against Rs 6.01 crore for the corresponding period last year.
The company recorded a growth of 10.8 per cent in its sales that grew to Rs 81.08 crore in Q1 this year, from Rs 73.19 crore last year.
''We have strengthened our foothold in the domestic and international market and are progressing on track in the R&D initiatives. We expect to get approval of our two ANDAs filed in 2004-05, during the second half of this fiscal that will mark our entry into the US market,'' Dabur Pharma Chairman Anand Burman said.
Oncology formulations and bulk drugs, which account for 69.9 per cent of the company's total turnover, posted a growth of 25 per cent during the quarter, while sale from exports grew 27 per cent and bulk drugs reported a growth of 40 per cent.
