Credit Suisse appoints Nilesh Jasani as Indian Research Head
New Delhi, July 26 (UNI) Credit Suisse, a leading global financial services company, today appointed Nilesh Jasani as Director and Head of Research, India, in order to strengthen its business profile in India and broaden its research capabilities in the Asia Pacific region.
Mr Jasani, who will report to Ali Naqvi, Head of Research for Asia ex-Japan, joined Credit Suisse in 2005 and is currently Head of Research, Taiwan.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Mr Jasani was with HSBC Securities as Head of Equity Strategy for Non-Japan Asia for almost three years. He has also been employed at CLSA Emerging Markets and SG Securities.
''Nilesh's broad-based, pan-Asian experience is critical to our ongoing strategy of providing research and analysis that maximises portfolio returns for our institutional clients,'' Mr Naqvi said, and added he will be a key component to building our Indian research product and a crucial element in the establishment of our overall Credit Suisse franchise in India..
Credit Suisse regards India as one of the most important growth markets for its Asia Pacific Meanwhile, Credit Suisse, which is in the process of re-activating its brokerage and corporate advisory services in the country, has hired Mihir Doshi as a Managing Director and Head of its Investment Banking Division in India.
In addition, Credit Suisse recently opened a financial consultancy and advisory office in Mumbai in order to grow its wealth management business.
