Capital witnesses heaviest showers of the season

New Delhi, July 26 (UNI) The capital witnessed the heaviest showers of the southwest monsooon today which lowered the temperatures by several degrees.

Following the rains which were light in the morning, the temperatures fell and gradually towards evening, the showers intensified.

With 64.3 mm of rainfall already recorded till 2030 hours, the capital recorded the highest rainfall in a day ever since the south west monsoon hit in the second week of July.
