'Bonalu' procession marred by clash

Hyderabad, July 26 (UNI) Twenty persons were injured when two groups clashed during the 'Bonalu' procession at Kamalanagar in Chaderghat last night.

According to police, the clash ensued when some miscreants disrupted the procession and tried to defile the 'Bonam'.

Confusion and panic prevailed when power went off at the same time.

Local police rushed to the spot on coming to know about the incident and dispersed the clashing groups. Police are on the lookout for the miscreants who sparked off the clash.

Later, some of the processionists also staged a demonstration in front of Chanderghat police station, demanding action against the miscreants.
