Barbados team visits L

Chennai, July 26 (UNI) A three-member delegation from ''Barbados World Cup Inc'', headed by Chairman Chris de Caires today visited Larsen and Toubro, engineering and construction major, which is building one of the stadiums at Kensington Oval at Barbados in West Indies for the 2007 cricket World Cup.

The team interacted with the members of the ''Larsen and Toubro'' World Cup Barbados project and also met senior executive vice-president of the firm K V Rangaswamy, according to company sources.

Work on the stadium in Barbados was 60 per cent complete and trial matches will be held in September or October this year, the sources said.

The team also discussed the possible business cooperation with India, especially in the areas of double-taxation avoidance and IT.

The delegation is scheduled to make a presentation of the World Cup Stadium project with L&T in New Delhi, tomorrow.
