Art of Living volunteers in Lebanon for relief work

Bangalore, July 26: The Art of Living Foundation of Sri Ravishankar has commenced relief operations in the war-hit Lebanon through its international sister organisation--International Association of Human Values (IAHV).

In a release here last night, the Foundation said Sri Ravishankar was personally in touch with the local volunteers and constantly guiding the relief works which commenced soon after the bombing started last week.

IAHV volunteers have been carrying out the relief operations in the camps where thousands of displaced civilians were provided shelter. Through its Dubai headquarters, IAHV Middle East had organised relief supplies such as medicines and other essentials which were in short supply.

IAHV would airlift relief supply from West Asia to Damascus and Beirut. Syrian Arab Airlines and UPS courier services have offered their services free of cost to Art of Living to ship the consignment to the relief camps in Lebanon, the release said.
