AP Govt instals cameras to detect traffic offences
Hyderabad, July 26 (UNI) Worried of increasing road accidents, most them fatal, in the state capital, the Andhra Pradesh Government decided to instance up cameras in major roads for recording hit and run cases.
As the first step, cameras have been set up on a pilot basis on the busy Hitech City Road.
Police sources said the cameras would be recording the movement of every vehicle at 24 hrs a day and it would be easy for them to track down the culprits violating traffic rules and those involved in hit and run cases.
