Agartala-Kolkata bus service via Dhaka under consideration

New Delhi, July 26 (UNI) India and Bangladesh both have agreed to run a direct bus service between Agartala and Kolkata via Dhaka, Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today.

He said the Centre has received a proposal from the Tripura government for introduction of the bus service.

He said this proposal was taken up with the Bangladesh Government. Details of the project and frequency of the bus services would be worked out by the bus operators of both the countries after the proposal is agreed to by the Bangladesh Government, Mr Ahamed added.
