ACB raids govt official's premises, unearths Rs 31 lakh assets
Hyderabad, July 26 (UNI) Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths today conducted simultaneous searches in the residential premises of a deputy executive engineer and his relatives and unearthed assets worth about Rs 31 lakh in Eluru.
An ACB press release here said the raids at Y V V Varaprasad 's residence and those of his relatives yielded a rich haul which included a house and sites, nine acre of land, Rs 2.43 lakh in cash, gold ornaments worth Rs four lakh, Rs 60,000 investment in bonds, motorcycle and household articles.
Earlier, on June 6, 2006, Varaprasad was trapped when he accepted from a contractor a bribe of Rs 5,000 for signing M-Books and bills, it added.
