30 shops, a school building and other structures gutted in Kashmir
Barmulla, July 26 (UNI) About 30 shops and other structures, including a school, were gutted in a devastating fire in north Kashmir early this morning, official sources said.
They said the fire broke out in a shop at Wasia village, about ten km from Handwara, and engulfed the entire shopping complex.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known. However, it is believed that the fire was caused due to a short circuit.
Sources said property worth crores of rupees has been destroyed in the fire. A school building and its record was also damaged in the fire.
