Ahmedabad, July 24 (UNI) The wives of four persons detained by the police in connection with the Swami Sachidanand ashram attack case today moved the state Human Rights Commission to protest against the police action.

Addressing a press conference here, they said they had no clue about their husbands after they were taken for interrogation on July 21.

''There has been no communication from our husbands after they were taken away. We want the Human Rights Commission to look into the matter,'' said wife of Jeetu Patel, a resident of Anand.

Apart from Jeetu Patel, police had detained - Pramod Joshi, Chandrakant Patel and Indubhai Gandhi - all three residents of Vadodara.

The ashram had been attacked on July 17, by a group of assailants. They pelted stones and attacked the residents, three of whom were injured. They had rushed near the Swami's chamber but he had opened fire from his revolver, in which one of them was injured.
