Water level at Mettur dam 112.680 ft

Tiruchirapalli, Jul 24(UNI) The water level in the Stanley Mettur reservoir across river Cauvery stood at 112.680 ft this morning as against its full capacity of 120 ft.

PWD sources said the inflow into the reservoir was 36,642 cusecs and the discharge was 22,000 cusecs.

From Grand Anaicut in Thanjavur District, about 8,035 cusecs of water was let out into Cauvery river, 3,837 cusecs into Vennar, 3,004 cusecs into Grand Anaicut canal and 1,649 cusecs into Coleroon river for irrigation needs under the turn system, the sources added.
