Veteran sports scribe to be honoured

Chennai, July 24 (UNI) Thyagarajan, veteran sports journalist and Associate Editor of The Hindu, has been chosen for the ''M Vijayachandran memorial sports award'' in recognition of his Lifetime achievements in the field of sports journalism.

The award, instituted by the Kerala Union of Working Journalists, Tamil Nadu unit, would be presented to him on July 29.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs 15,000, KUWJ TN General Secretary K A Johny said today.
