Unclaimed bag causes panic near Kashi Vishwanath

Varanasi, July 24 (UNI) Panic prevailed in the Dedhsi Ka Pool area here today following the recovery of an unclaimed bag on the yellow security zone of highly sensitive Kashi Vishwanath-Gyanwapi complex.

Senior of Superintendent Police Ashutosh Pandey said some devotees spotted the bag in yellow zone -- second most sensitive zone -- of the three-tier security of the complex.

The matter was brought to the notice of the police, following which the area was cordoned off and the bag searched.

Some clothes and a bottle of Ganga Jal was found in the bag, Mr Pandey added.
