Stone crushers causing Asthma in Mandla villages

Bhopal, July 24: Notices will be issued to stone crusher owners in Mandla district to shift outside populated areas, Mineral Resources Minister Laxmikant Sharma told the Madhya Pradesh Assembly today.

Replying to a call attention notice moved by Mr Shivraj Shah, Mr Sharma said minor minerals rules stipulated that crushers should be located at least 100 metre away from public places.

Mr Shah contended that several people were suffering from Asthma due to pollution caused by illegal crushers set up in Mandla and Nainpur areas.
